German Surgeon to help Children in the Philippines

Manila – The German specialist for plastic and esthetic surgery, Christopher Wachsmut from Leipzig – Germany is back in Manila. The Diakonissen Hospital informed last friday in Leipzig that Wachsmuth arrived in Manila with more than 30 other Volunteers to operate more than 160 Children with inborn malformation free of charge.

Dr. Wachsmuth is co-founder and the German Chairman of Operation Restore Hope (ORH), the goal of this organization since middle of the 1990th is to take care, especially of children, living in slums in the Philippines, who suffer from Malocclusion, Cleft- and Gums Palate. Wachsmuth will perform corrective surgery together with other specialists from the US, United Arabic Emirates, Australia and Neuseeland within the next 5 days in Manila. This is already the 20th ORH mission of Dr. Wachsmuth where he will operate children from pure families again.
