Mayor Rocky Ilagan is doing his best to help Primary Tourism Establishment (PTE) owners secure a DOT accreditation which under the law is now a requirement in renewing the Mayor’s permit and business license. As of this writing, only 23 establishments are DOT accredited out of an estimated 350 PTEs. The major hurdle according to the business owners is the discharge permit of the Environmental Management Bureau (EMB) which is a requirement in getting a DOT accreditation.
