FastCat coming soon to Puerto Galera
The President of the company that operates FastCat said that if it was possible he would have 1 ferry providing service for PG tomorrow. However, he needs to build a ramp worth around 10 million pesos in a space to be allocated by the PPA at Balatero port which he said will take “conservatively” until the end of the year.
Mr. Christopher Pastrana said the he will be talking with his staff to figure out a way if it’s possible to use Balatero port even without the ramp. He said that the FastCat may, for the meantime, just carry passengers and no vehicles while the ramp is being built. If this would be possible, then FastCat may be available sooner than expected.
FastCat offers brand new car ferries that are able to run for 18 to 20 knots which means travel time to Puerto Galera will only take less than 1 hour.
Mr. Pastrana said he will be meeting with both the PPA and MARINA for the 2 round trip service that he will initially offer in Puerto Galera. The schedule will be announced here once available.
